Apple Computers, inc are the inventors of the iPod. The CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs had decided that MP3 players on the market were too chunky and didn’t hold enough songs. This is why he came up with the iPod. There are several different models of iPods:
- iPod Touch - Multitouch screen instead of buttons. Comes in 8, 16 or 32 GB models.
- iPod Shuffle - Very small. No screen. Comes in 1 or 2 GB models.
- iPod Classic - Now in its sixth generation the iPod classic comes with 120 GB.
- iPod Nano - Tall all-aluminium case. 9 colours to choose from. comes in 4, 8 or 16 GB models.
The iPod soon became the fastest selling mp3 player. However, it is no no longer just an MP3 player, but instead a portable entertainment system.
